We rent to one party at a time so you have complete privacy and use of the whole villa including free parking in the front.

Interaction and Service

We like to meet you personally and tell you about your choice of accommodation, our staff and our services. This gives you a chance to ask questions and get settled. There after our manager, Gede, is available to assist you in making your daily plans and arranging transportation. We provide free WiFi for your comfort and convenience.

The Neighborhood

Villa Uma Anyar is located in Banjar (community group) Apuh of about 45 families. It is off the main road through Mawang village in a grove of coconut trees surrounded by rice fields and next to a slow winding river. This community is an authentic village where you can see Balinese daily life and yet is close enough to enjoy the cultural activities and excitement of Ubud.

Getting Around

For additional rides into Ubud, for sightseeing or car and boat trips to Lombok, Gili or Lembongan islands there are many local (English speaking, one French speaking and one Korean speaking) drivers for hire. You may rent a car or a motorcycle, please inquire about current daily rates. Gede will do all the arrangements and put you in good hands. Fees for all day excursions vary but are reasonable priced. The fees go directly to the drivers and their families. Unlike the big expensive resorts, Villa Uma Anyar does not take a cut of their earnings.

Other Things to Note

A simple luncheon menu is always available. For dinners two private chefs, can shop and cook a delicious meal for you with one day notice. You select the menu from our wide variety of Indonesian and Western recipes. The price of a privately cooked dinner is the cost of the food plus Rp 100.000 for dinner preparation, service and cleanup. You may also like to cook with our chefs. Feel free to create your own menu. Our chefs, Wayan And Kadek, offer Indonesian cooking classes right in the villa kitchen. For weddings, honeymoons or birthdays, we will prepare upon request special decorations and flower arrangements.

Massages are available on site for Rp 200.000 per hour.
Laundry service is available at a very reasonable cost.
